CLAS Student Ambassador: Victor Binning

What made you choose your CLAS major?

It had a broad range of classes I was interested in including Psychology, Anthropology, Humanities and Business. I could still get a degree that is business related and take the classes that I wanted to take.

What unique opportunities did this major offer you?

Being able to take classes in colleges that other students would otherwise be unable to take. Taking classes that I was excited to learn in and further my college experience in a broad range of categories.

If your major has a concentration or a focus what is that and why did you choose it?

I chose Economy and Industry because it involves the fundamentals of business and good ethics in business.

What do you plan on pursuing after graduation?

I plan on getting an internship or getting my foot in the door of a financial advising company or stock brokerage.

Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? If so, what are they and how are they contributing to your college experience?

I am involved in a Fraternity and have been involved in the Entrepreneurial Student’s Association. These have given me the opportunity to learn responsibility and to be a part of something bigger than myself.

Will you be studying abroad? If so, where are you going and what are you looking forward to?

I have had interest in it, but since I will be graduating soon it will be unlikely.

Will you have an internship? If so, what is it and what are you looking forward to?

I have had a past internship working as a technician but hope to have future internships involving financial advising or at a brokerage.
