LANIC is an extremely well organized and thorough database. Categories to search include: Countries, Economy, Education, Government, Humanities, Internet and Computing, Libraries and Reference, Media, Recreation, Regional Resources, Science, Social Sciences, Society & Culture (Includes Human Rights, Immigration, Indigenous..), and Sustainable Development.

Search LANIC allows the user to search several databases and provides links to search engines hosted in Latin American countries.

What's New in Latin American Studies?
Check out the latest organizations, projects, ideas, networks, art exhibits and more. LANIC encourages Latin Americanists to submit announcements of their new on-line services and home pages. Submissions are posted daily, and in some cases added to the corresponding page in the LANIC directory.

LANIC also features the Electronic Network for Latin American Careers and Employment (ENLACE), a job bank dedicated exclusively to Latin Americanists. - Candidates can submit their resume and search for positions in Latin America or with Latin America-related organizations on the ever-expanding job board. - The ENLACE Career Resource Links page lists many useful websites related to Latin American careers and employment - Employers can post positions and search for candidates by reviewing our constantly updated database of applicants' resumes.
