The UA Center for Latin American Studies hosts 40 university student women leaders from Latin America every year through the Study of the United States Institute (SUSI), funded by the U.S. State Department and in collaboration with the Institute for Training and Development in Amherst, Massachusetts.

This winter, CLAS successfully hosted 20 Indigenous and Afro-descendent women from Bolivia, Peru, Paraguay and Ecuador.

Congratulations to SUSI participants and the amazing CLAS team!

As part of their final presentation, SUSI students prepared a video about their experience during the institute and their time in Tucson. Watch here.
