The Latin American Studies program is fortunate to include an outstanding faculty based in top ranked departments (Anthropology, Sociology), and widely-recognized Latin American sub-fields (Political Science, History). In addition to their nationally and internationally-recognized scholarship, several of our faculty have received university teaching awards. We have unusual strength in terms of numbers of faculty and expertise in Mexico, Brazil, Environmental Studies, Border Studies, Indigenous Studies, and Women’s Studies; as well as a smaller group of faculty focused on other Central and South American countries.  CLAS also works closely with our colleagues in Law, Public Policy, Public Health and Journalism to offer high quality dual-degree options for Masters students.  The following list is a only a small sample of out affiliated faculty, whom total nearly 170 campus-wide.
