Javier Milei was elected to the Argentine presidency with a promise of fixing the economy and eradicating the status quo political elite. But since he has been in power, Milei has sought much more radical reforms, including weakening public education, defunding cultural agencies, and dismantling institutions and legislation designed to protect human rights and populations in situations of vulnerability. In this talk, we discuss how far Milei has gone in his "revolution" and the sociocultural and political impact of his radical right government.
