Philip Rody '21
Managing Attorney, The Florence Immigrant & Refugee Rights Project

"As a dual-degree student, the LAS program provided me with a lens through which I could better understand immigration— one that incorporates history and social sciences to bring compassion to an area of the law that all too often dehumanizing. Being a part of a community that encouraged diverse and interdisciplinary perspectives helped me push through law school and take advantage of learning opportunities in the borderlands region— shaping how I think about my line of work, the diverse ways that people can advocate for immigrants, and the impact that I can have."
